 ROTARY EVENT A HUGE SUCCESS!

 Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary Club held our 14th Annual Winterfest event at The Lodge of Four Seasons exhibit hall. This year’s event raised over $21,000 for Daybreak Rotary’s charity funds!! The members of the club work hard each year to make this event a success, but none of it could be achieved without the support of so many local businesses that contribute to the silent and live auctions, the Winterfest attendees, and the main sponsors, Duncan II Jewelry, Hy-Vee and Great Southern Bank.
The monies raised will be given to the numerous local charities that Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary Club supports each year. A big THANK YOU to everyone involved in helping or supporting this great event that is so important to our community!!
If you would like to become involved in Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary, contact Membership Chairman Aaron Spieler at 573-365-3552, or please visit one of the meetings held every Friday morning, 7:30AM at Faithbridge Church, behind Hy-Vee in Osage Beach. Visitors are always welcome and expected!

Susan Collier with the Alzheimer's Association of Mid-Missouri recently spoke to our Rotary club regarding the work of her chapter and the ever growing need for assistance to those that suffer from Alzheimer's Disease.

Congratulations to our 2010 Car Raffle Winner
Sharon Crown of Camdenton!

DAYBREAK ROTARY HOLDS 5TH ANNUAL CAR RAFFLE

Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary held our 5th annual Car Raffle Fundraiser. The drawing was held in conjunction with the 2010 Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals. Pictured above is the winner of the 2010 Camaro RS, Sharon Crown, from Camdenton. The Car Raffle fundraiser could not have been such a success without the support of the Osage Beach HyVee for displaying the car in their store, and Ron Hulett Chevrolet in Camdenton for providing the car to Daybreak Rotary for this event.   The car raffle has become a major attraction at the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals. Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary Club now has another $13,000 in charity funds to disperse back into our community. THANK YOU to everyone that supported this great fundraiser by purchasing a raffle ticket and supporting your local Rotary club. For more information about Daybreak Rotary you may contact membership chairman, Aaron Spieler, 365-3552.   Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary meets every Friday morning at 7:30 at Faithbridge Church behind Lowe’s in Osage Beach.

We're moving our meeting location beginning September 10th. Our new home will be First Family Church, across from School of the Osage, on highway 42 in Osage Beach. Our club has outgrown our current location and we're very excited about our move to this wonderful new church. You'll be impressed with the state of the art Audio and Video capabilities as well as the  Wi-Fi access. Our meetings will include the use of this incredible system. Our meeting room is larger and offers us unlimited growth. Our breakfast will continue to be catered by Hy-Vee...the BEST breakfast in town!

The need in our community continues to grow and our new home offers us the opportunity to grow our club without limitations in an effort to meet the ever increasing needs in our area. Please join us every Friday morning as we do the work necessary to make a positive difference for those in need.

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  • FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
  • SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
  • THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;
  • FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

These concepts guide our service in the Lake of the Ozarks, Osage Beach and surrounding areas in Missouri and abroad.

We encourage you to get involved in our diverse group of business people and area business leaders that deeply care for people and our community.

Can you think of a better way to start your Friday morning?

 Message From the President Minimize

Welcome to Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary website!

It is my pleasure to serve as President of Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary for the 2010-2011 year. Our club is excited to have the opportunity to serve the Lake of the Ozarks region.

Our membership continues to grow by adding strong community minded leaders to our roster. We have ambitious goals for the future and a membership with the ability to reach these objectives. Our committment is to continue our tradition of service to Rotary International and our community by supporting more groups, organizations and agencies than any other service club in the region.

Each year our club organizes two main fundraisers that generate resources to support over thirty organizations in the area. Our annual Winterfest banquet and dance is an event where the community comes together for an evening of fun, food and friendship. We also give a muscle car away each May at the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals where we have one of the most successful and exciting car raffles in the area.

Our Rotarians meet every Friday at Faithbridge Church in Osage Beach (located behind Hy-Vee). Our breakfast is at 7:00AM and is catered by Hy-Vee. Meetings start at 7:30 and end promptly at 8:30. Visitors are always welcome so bring a reason to be "Proud & Happy", and be sure to get in on "Jerry's Joker".

If you have any questions about our club or would be interested in showing your community support, please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully seeing you soon.

Best Regards,

Steve Naught
2010-2011 President
