DAYBREAK ROTARY HOLDS 5TH ANNUAL CAR RAFFLE
Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary held our 5th annual Car Raffle Fundraiser. The drawing was held in conjunction with the 2010 Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals. Pictured above is the winner of the 2010 Camaro RS, Sharon Crown, from Camdenton. The Car Raffle fundraiser could not have been such a success without the support of the Osage Beach HyVee for displaying the car in their store, and Ron Hulett Chevrolet in Camdenton for providing the car to Daybreak Rotary for this event. The car raffle has become a major attraction at the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals. Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary Club now has another $13,000 in charity funds to disperse back into our community. THANK YOU to everyone that supported this great fundraiser by purchasing a raffle ticket and supporting your local Rotary club. For more information about Daybreak Rotary you may contact membership chairman, Aaron Spieler, 365-3552. Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary meets every Friday morning at 7:30 at Faithbridge Church behind Lowe’s in Osage Beach.
We're moving our meeting location beginning September 10th. Our new home will be First Family Church, across from School of the Osage, on highway 42 in Osage Beach. Our club has outgrown our current location and we're very excited about our move to this wonderful new church. You'll be impressed with the state of the art Audio and Video capabilities as well as the Wi-Fi access. Our meetings will include the use of this incredible system. Our meeting room is larger and offers us unlimited growth. Our breakfast will continue to be catered by Hy-Vee...the BEST breakfast in town!
The need in our community continues to grow and our new home offers us the opportunity to grow our club without limitations in an effort to meet the ever increasing needs in our area. Please join us every Friday morning as we do the work necessary to make a positive difference for those in need.
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
- FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
- SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
- THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;
- FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
These concepts guide our service in the Lake of the Ozarks, Osage Beach and surrounding areas in Missouri and abroad.
We encourage you to get involved in our diverse group of business people and area business leaders that deeply care for people and our community.
Can you think of a better way to start your Friday morning?
